Welcome to Music Schools International Langley (MSI Langley). This Privacy Policy describes what Personal Information we collect, use and how we disclose this information when you register for music lessons, go on our website and as well through Google Analytics.

Collecting Personal Information:
MSI Langley collects the following Personal Information when you or your child(ren) register for lessons:
- Your first and last name, email address, phone number, mailing address and financial information
- If you register your child(ren) for lessons we collect your child(ren’s) name(s), gender, date of birth, grade level, allergies, and any medical conditions we should be aware of.
- Pictures, Videos, Audio and Video Recordings from music classes and or live performances may be collected. This may include images or recordings of you and your child(ren). You have the choice to not consent for this at the time of registration.
MSI Langley will collect you and or your child(ren’s) Personal information in order to:
- Enroll a student in music lessons
- Process payment for music lessons, registration fees and book fees
- Send out MSI Langley Newsletter and any other important information
Consent:
MSI Langley will obtain your consent before or at the time of collecting you or your child(ren’s) Personal Information. The purposes for collecting, using or disclosing Personal Information is provided at the time of registration of music lessons and when contacting us through our website. You may withdraw your consent for MSI Langley to use your Personal Information in certain ways.
Video Surveillance: MSI Langley has a security camera in the Reception Area. By entering MSI Langley you are acknowledging you are being recorded and thereby affirming the legality of installing security cameras. No video equipment will be installed in rooms where the expectation of privacy is higher, such as washrooms or teaching studios. Signage is posted in areas of video surveillance to inform you that the area is under video monitoring and recording.
Website:
We do not gather your personal information through our website unless you supply it to us voluntarily e.g. by signing up for our newsletters, filling out registration forms or contacting us through the website contact page. Your information is only accessible to MSI Langley staff who need the information to do their job e.g. respond to or process a request from you.
Our website may contain links to other websites. MSI Langley is not responsible for the content or privacy policies of other websites. Please read the Terms of Use and Policies of sites when you access those sites.
We may use third-party Service providers to monitor and analyze the use of our Service.
- Google Analytics
Google Analytics is a web analytics service offered by Google that tracks and reports website traffic. Google uses the data collected to track and monitor the use of our Service. This data is shared with other Google services. Google may use the collected data to contextualize and personalize the ads of its own advertising network.

MSI Langley does not sell, trade or share your personal information for marketing, advertising or promotional purposes. We may disclose personal information to third party contractors including service providers who assist us in delivering services for MSI Langley.

Personal information will be retained in client and staff as long as the file is active and for such periods of time as may be prescribed by applicable laws and regulations.
A file will be deemed inactive when a client or staff relationship or contract is terminated.

We make reasonable efforts to ensure that your and your child(ren’s) personal information is accurate and complete, but we rely on you to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the personal information you provide.

Access to surveillance information is limited solely to the Director of MSI Langley, and MSI Langley’s Chief Privacy Officer.
