Why Teach The MSI Curriculum?
The Comprehensive Concept of the MSI Courses is Simple: what you hear, you sing; what you sing, you play; what you play, you read; what you read, you write.
Music Schools International offers comprehensive beginner music courses for students aged 2 to teens, delivered through engaging group classes. Our advanced programs build upon the foundation established in the elementary levels, ensuring continuous growth. Each course is crafted using contemporary teaching methods and features adjustable-speed backing tracks, covering a wide range of musical styles. Each program is thoughtfully structured to maximize student development, focusing on both technical skills and musical expression.
What Sets Us Apart From Other Group Music Programs?
- Personalized Group Learning: Encourages collaborative learning while ensuring individual attention. The program also enhances performance skills, offering students the opportunity to solo their piano pieces in class, boosting both confidence and stage presence.
- Broad Musical Exposure: Provides students with a comprehensive exploration of both contemporary and classical music, fostering versatility and a well-rounded musical education.
- Technology-Enhanced Learning: Utilizes adjustable-speed backing tracks, enabling students to deepen their understanding of rhythm, timing, and musical expression in a dynamic, interactive environment.
- Engaging and Fun Learning: Incorporates enjoyable songs and musical games that keep students actively engaged, making learning both fun and effective.
- Comprehensive and Flexible Curriculum: Offers a well-rounded curriculum designed to support students from early childhood through to advanced levels, with age-specific classes tailored to meet the developmental needs of each group.
The Beginning
In 1997, Rosalind Thrift, Director of the ISM Network, identified a need for contemporary music programs tailored for young students. After extensive research, she developed innovative programs incorporating over 740 original compositions. This vision led to the launch of the International School of Music (ISM), which has since become a leader in music education for young learners. The ISM/MSI curriculum, with its contemporary approach, has been embraced by educators worldwide, helping them establish and grow successful music schools.
